राम नवमी के दिन दोपहर 12 बजे करीब चार मिनट तक सूर्य की किरणें भगवान राम की प्रतिमा के माथे पर पड़ेंगी।
सेंट्रल बिल्डिंग रिसर्च इंस्टीट्यूट (CBRI) रुड़की के वैज्ञानिकों की एक टीम ने सूर्य तिलक मैकेनिज्म को तैयार किया है। इसके डिजाइन को तैयार करने में टीम को पूरे दो साल लग गए थे। 2021 में राम मंदिर के डिजाइन पर काम शुरू हुआ था। CBRI के वैज्ञानिकों की एक टीम ने सूर्य तिलक मैकेनिज्म को इस तरह से डिजाइन किया है कि हर साल राम नवमी के दिन दोपहर 12 बजे करीब चार मिनट तक सूर्य की किरणें भगवान राम की प्रतिमा के माथे पर पड़ेंगी। इस निर्माण कार्य में सीबीआरआई के साथ सूर्य के पथ को लेकर तकनीकी मदद बेंगलूरु के इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ एस्ट्रोफिजिक्स (IIA) की भी ली गई है। बेंगलूरु की एक कंपनी ऑप्टिका ने लेंस और ब्रास ट्यूब का निर्माण किया है।
इस तरह से होगा सूर्य तिलक प्रोजेक्ट सूर्य तिलक में एक गियर बॉक्स, रिफ्लेक्टिव मिरर और लेंस की व्यवस्था इस तरह की गई है कि मंदिर के शिखर के पास तीसरी मंजिल से सूर्य की किरणों को गर्भगृह तक लाया जाएगा। इसमें सूर्य के पथ बदलने के सिद्धांतों का उपयोग किया जाएगा। सीबीआरआई के वैज्ञानिक डॉ. प्रदीप चौहान ने बताया कि, शत प्रतिशत सूर्य तिलक रामलला की मूर्ति के माथे पर अभिषेक करेगा।
बिजली, बैटरी और लोहे का नहीं हुआ इस्तेमाल राम नवमी की तारीख चंद्र कैलेंडर से निर्धारित होती है इसलिए यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कि शुभ अभिषेक निर्धारित कार्यक्रम के अनुसार हो, 19 गियर की विशेष व्यवस्था की गई है। डॉ. चौहान का कहना है कि, गियर-बेस्ड सूर्य तिलक मैकेनिज्म में बिजली, बैटरी या लोहे का उपयोग नहीं किया गया है।
आईआईए ने चंद्र और सौर कैलेंडर का निकाला था समाधान एस्ट्रोनॉमी के क्षेत्र में भारत के प्रमुख संस्थान इंडियन इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ एस्ट्रोफिजिक्स (आईआईए) ने चंद्र और सौर (ग्रेग्रेरियन) कैलेंडरों के बीच जटिलतापूर्ण अंतर के कारण आने वाली समस्या का समाधान किया है। इसके बाद इस मैकेनिज्म को तैयार और सही जगह पर रखने में आसानी हुई।
19 साल के रिपीट साइकल से हल हुई समस्या डॉ. चौहान बताते हैं कि यह एक दिलचस्प वैज्ञानिक प्रयोग था। इसमें दो कैलेंडरों के 19 साल के रिपीट साइकल ने समस्या को हल करने में मदद की। राम मंदिर की तरह ही सूर्य तिलक मैकेनिज्म का उपयोग पहले से ही कोणार्क के सूर्य मंदिर और कुछ जैन मंदिरों में किया जा रहा है। हालांकि उनमें अलग तरह की इंजीनियरिंग का प्रयोग किया गया है। राम मंदिर में लगा मैकेनिज्म पहली बार इस तरह का प्रयोग है।
राम नवमी के दिन सूर्य तिलक को लेकर सभी को बेसब्री से इंतजार है। पूरा भारत देश इस दिन का इंतजार कर रहा है। राम मंदिर पूरा होने के बाद सूर्य तिलक मैकेनिज्म शुरू हो गया था। अब राम नवमी को करीब चार मिनट के लिए सूर्य तिलक होगा। – डॉ. प्रदीप चौहान, वैज्ञानिक, सीबीआरआई

A team of scientists from Central Building Research Institute (CBRI) Roorkee has prepared the Surya Tilak Mechanism. It took the team two full years to prepare its design. Work on the design of Ram temple started in 2021. A team of scientists from CBRI has designed the Surya Tilak mechanism in such a way that every year on the day of Ram Navami, at 12 noon, the sun’s rays will fall on the forehead of the idol of Lord Ram for about four minutes. In this construction work, along with CBRI, technical help regarding the path of the Sun has also been taken from the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore. Optica, a Bengaluru-based company, has manufactured the lens and brass tube.
Surya Tilak will be done in this way In Project Surya Tilak, a gear box, reflective mirror and lens have been arranged in such a way that the sun’s rays will be brought to the sanctum sanctorum from the third floor near the peak of the temple. In this the principles of changing the path of the Sun will be used. CBRI scientist Dr. Pradeep Chauhan said that 100 percent Surya Tilak will be anointed on the forehead of Ramlala’s idol.
Electricity, battery and iron were not used The date of Ram Navami is determined by the lunar calendar so special arrangements of 19 gears have been made to ensure that the auspicious Abhishek takes place as per schedule. Dr. Chauhan says that no electricity, battery or iron has been used in the gear-based Surya Tilak mechanism.
IIA had found a solution to the lunar and solar calendars. The Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), India’s premier institute in the field of astronomy, has resolved the problem caused by the complex differences between the lunar and solar (Gregorian) calendars. After this it became easier to keep this mechanism ready and at the right place. Problem solved by 19 year repeat cycle Dr. Chauhan explains that this was an interesting scientific experiment. In this, the 19-year repeat cycle of the two calendars helped solve the problem. Like the Ram temple, the Surya Tilak mechanism is already being used in the Sun Temple of Konark and some Jain temples. However, different types of engineering have been used in them. The mechanism installed in Ram temple is the first such experiment. Everyone is eagerly waiting for Surya Tilak on the day of Ram Navami. The whole of India is waiting for this day.
